About the Founder

Hi, I’m Lalinthika, founder of Science Learning Lab.

With over 16 years of experience in science education, I’ve worked with a wide range of students across secondary schools, colleges, SEN settings, and alternative provision. This has given me a deep understanding of the challenges many students face—and what truly helps them succeed.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how barriers such as low confidence, anxiety, and gaps in understanding can hold students back.

That’s why my approach goes beyond simply teaching content.

I focus on creating a supportive, structured environment where students feel safe to ask questions, build confidence, and develop a genuine understanding of science.

As a former curriculum manager, I’ve led teaching teams, developed programmes, and supported students through major educational changes. I now bring that same level of structure, planning, and expertise into every lesson at Science Learning Lab.

Why I Started Science Learning Lab

I created Science Learning Lab to provide the kind of support I know students need—personalised, encouraging, and focused on long-term success. As a working mum, I understand how important it is for families to feel confident in the support their child is receiving. My goal is to make a meaningful difference—not just in grades, but in confidence and mindset.
